A small kitchen in Brooklyn, NY
We started with one bench, one fridge and a lot of neighbours asking us to build them a board for a birthday. The work has not changed much since. Somebody here cuts the cheese, somebody else arranges it, and somebody checks the label twice before it goes out.
What did change is the number of boards. We now make several hundred a week, and we still build them to order rather than sitting them in a warehouse, because a board that was made last Tuesday and delivered on Friday is a worse board than one that left us this morning.
How it works, in three lines

Nothing is made days ahead. Your board is assembled the morning it ships, so the cheese is cut and the fruit is placed for the day it arrives.
Packed cold and sent overnight
Insulated with ice packs and out the door within a day. We deliver locally ourselves and ship overnight everywhere else.
Ready to eat on arrival
Nothing to cut, nothing to arrange, nothing to buy before your guests arrive. The board is the whole meal.
